DISCUSSION GROUP for SMALL COOPERATIVES & CONDOMINIUMS

Small buildings (30 units and fewer) face most of the same issues as larger buildings, but they have a much smaller resource of shareholders or unit owners to take on tasks and to make difficult decisions. This Discussion Group meets regularly to examine topics raised by participants. Rebecca Poole, CNYC’s Director of Membership and Communications, facilitates these meetings; she has a background in property management and a history of providing programs to help small, self-managed buildings understand and meet their responsibilities. This meeting is free to representatives of CNYC members. Non-affiliates are welcome at a fee of $50. Advance reservation is required for each Discussion Group meeting.

BOARD BASICS CLASS #5:
SELECTING AND WORKING WITH PROFESSIONALS

Boards depend upon professional advisors to help them navigate the myriad responsibilities of running their buildings. Careful selection, based on recommendations from trusted sources will help you select and cultivate ongoing relationships with experts. This class will provide insights to help you develop productive relationships with the professionals advising your building. This class – and the full Board Basics Series-- is free to CNYC members, but advance registration is required for each class. Registration is limited to 40 people, to facilitate discussion. Non- affiliates are welcome at a fee of $50 per class.

DISCUSSION GROUP for MEDIUM AND LARGER CO-OPS & CONDOS

This discussion series is for board members, shareholders and unit owners of buildings larger than 35 units interested in exploring issues and sharing successful strategies. Registrants will be expected to participate actively in this discussion, which is facilitated by Rebecca Poole, CNYC’s Director of Membership and Communications, who has a background in property management and a history of providing educational programs. There is no fee for representatives of CNYC members to attend. Non-affiliates are welcome at a fee of $50. Advance reservation is required.
